About Tallow?

Tallow is gentle, deeply moisturising and free from chemicals and synthetic ingredients.  It is incredibly rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, and essential fatty acids, making it the perfect moisturiser to soothe and soften skin.

It is a by-product of the food industry and it’s use in skincare honours the entire animal and contributes to responsible and sustainable practices.

Why is our tallow different?

Many tallow skincare products use rendered beef fat in their recipes and mask the beefy scent with the use of other ingredients.  We value minimal ingredient products and do not mask natural scents.  Rather we use only the superior Suet in our skincare (the fat surrounding vital organs) to ensure the scent is minimised prior to rendering.  We then triple-purify the tallow in filtered fluoride-free water and salt, ensuring that only the most subtle scent remains.

The nature of tallow skincare?

In the Winter months, tallow may firm up and can be easily warmed by gentle circular motions with your finger.  We recommend storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Application & Use

A little goes a long way!  Apply a small amount to face or body with clean hands.  Clean hands are essential to prevent contamination.  If in doubt, apply a small test patch prior to use.  Discontinue use if irritation occurs.  Intended for external use only.
